About the WCA exam
WCA is the CII's Arabic-language delivery of its non-UK claims unit. Syllabus, learning outcomes and weightings are identical to WCE — 75 multiple-choice questions in two hours, four options, no negative marking, nominal 70% pass mark with standard-setting — set and answered in Arabic.
The questions, options and explanations in this bank are in Arabic and display right to left, whichever interface language you choose.
What the syllabus covers
Seven learning outcomes, unusually evenly weighted: the legal requirements for a valid claim and proximate cause; policy covers across motor, household, travel, commercial property, pecuniary, liability and health; the claims function, service standards, reserving, fraud, fair treatment and complaints; handling procedures class by class together with external support services; claims systems and how the function sits within different organisational structures; settlement, why a full indemnity is not always paid, and recoveries; and claims management, leakage, financial monitoring and reserving practice.
Because four of the seven outcomes carry near-identical weight, there is no dominant topic to lean on — and no small one you can safely skip.
A note on terminology
Every item is written to a locked glossary drawn from the CII's Arabic study text, so the terminology you practise on matches the exam. Claims Arabic carries its own confusable pairs — excess against deductible, contribution against co-insurance, and the vocabulary of reserving — and the explanations flag them where they arise.
